The Department of Political Economy  and King’s Economics and Finance Society welcomes Yanis Varoufakis, former Finance Minsiter of Greece, to King’s College London on Monday, 25 January to speak on: Creditors who do not want their money back: the curious case of the Greek bailout, and its implications for Britain and the EU.

Yanis Varoufakis is an academic economist who was a member of the Greek parliament between January and September 2015. Currently a Professor of Economic Theory at  University of Athens, Varoufakis is a participant in the current debates on the global and European crisis and the author of The Global Minotaur and several academic texts on economics and game theory.
