Following their evacuation from Greece and arrival in Crete early in May, 1941, Patrick Leigh Fermor and Michael Forrester, the speaker’s father, had been staying with Prince Peter in his villa near Chania. Events then began to move quickly, with the German invasion of Crete beginning on 20 May, and this talk looks in detail at some of those events.
