ancient greece, British Museum

Meet at 5.45pm in Gallery 12 for a prompt 6pm start.

Greek art developed with great speed and produced rapidly changing images during the 6th and 5th centuries. Myth was a common theme and this visit will start to explore the range and complexities using the British Museum’s rich collection, focusing in particular at Greek vases. This visit will also stimulate ideas for the A330 EMA.

Meet your tutor, Cathy Mercer, in Gallery 12 at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG, nearest tube stations Holborn and Tottenham Court Road

Entrance to the British Museum galleries visited during this tour is free to everyone.

This tour will be of general interest but it would be especially helpful if you are studying A330 Myth in the Greek and Roman worlds at the Open University.
