Kourelou @ Rhythms of the World Festival

Thanasis Gavos   Friday, 10 June 2016; 7:00pm
Kim Wilde, Kourelou,

An incredible evening of Music from around the World in conjunction with St Mary’s Church Hitchin.

The Kourelou Band – Kourelou is a Greek word meaning ‘Patchwork.’ The band draws on Greek roots as well as music from other areas of the South Balkans to produce a vibrant musical mash with a contemporary twist. Do not expect muzak versions of Zorba and do not bring plates to break. Instead, get ready to experience music that has unbelievable traditional diversity and wealth in a way that is engaging, jazzy and dynamic. Guest for the night:  Manos Achalinotopoulos.

Join us for a magical evening of music in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s Church including some very special guests.

In a huge coup for Rhythms Of The World, Kim Wilde and Rick Wilde as very special guests among our fantastic line-up for the evening.
