Holy Pitta, opposite Islington Green, [on Upper Street, ed.] went up in flames in the early hours of this morning. It has remained taped off today with forensics officers combing the burnt-out shop for evidence.
The takeaway was closed at the time of the blaze, but medics treated a man and a woman at the scene.
Officers were called just before 2.10am and Scotland Yard say an arson investigation has been launched. No arrests have been made.
