Giannis A. Kefalogiannis is the Secretary of the Hellenic Parliament and a Parliamentary Spokesperson for New Democracy, the Main Opposition Party in Greece. Before becoming a Member of Parliament for Rethymno in June 2012, Mr Kefalogiannis was a practising criminal lawyer with work experience in the United Nations.
Mr Kefalogiannis exemplifies the new generation of Greek liberal politicians, having been educated at top institutions, such as Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He is an expert in the field of international affairs, having graduated with a Master’s degree in the subject, and later holding positions as Head of Foreign Affairs and Defence in New Democracy’s Shadow Cabinet.
The speech will have the title: ‘Exploring the limits of Europe: Security, Immigration and Human Rights after Brexit’.
