“What happens when your step granny locks herself up in the kitchen trying out a so-called ‘magic’ sorbet recipe? And you are not allowed in?! When your best friend has a massive crush on someone you hate? Your cat starts to make weird noises that sound, wait a minute, was that a bark? And, at that very moment, your mum becomes REALLY famous for her traditional Greek recipe book and is all over the internet? Nothing major really, but that was an odd summer indeed, to say the least…”
In this workshop children become surreal detectives! Drawing on their knowledge of the Greek language and using a variety of verbal and non-verbal prompts, from word banks to gestures and material objects, they create their own teeny tiny stories, verses or poems.
This workshop is run by Viviana Miliaresi, MA in Digital Writing, UoL (theresastory.org).
