Coretheband live in Camden

Thanasis Gavos   Friday, 23 March 2018; 7:00-10:00pm

Headed up by charismatic front man Jacob Gale, Coretheband is a four-piece indie/rock band that brings across genre of Coldplay’s pop rock and Fall Out Boy’s pop punk.  With International awards and international TV appearances under their belt, they are bringing their grooves to the UK and the rest of the world.

Though they hail from the island of Crete, the band’s roots reach much further – to the USA, Poland, South Africa and beyond – and their sound owes more to Green Day and Nirvana than it does Zorba the Greek.

Since CORETHEBAND was formed by vocalist Jacob Gale in 2012, along with Lefteris guitarist, bass player Sifis (affectionately called God) Artemis on keys and Maxi on drums, they have built a strong following throughout Greece and abroad. Their first EP ‘40% Vol’ was released December 2015 with their latest EP ‘The Waiting Game’ hitting iTunes April earlier this year.  The boys have just returned from Berlin at the end of their European Tour with gigs in Xanthi, Belgrade, Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna, reaching Dusseldorf where for two weeks they have been recording their eagerly anticipated first full album.

They have played over 150 live shows, supported ‘Youmeatsix’ in Athens, won a slew of Greek and international awards, and appeared on series, ads and talk shows on international TV and English based TV including ITV’s ‘This Morning’ and have previously worked with renowned director Vangelis Kalaitzis on the video for their song “Dream”, which was also used as the soundtrack to an ad aired on international TV for the Drug Rehabilitation Centre KE.THE.A.  They have now signed with management team Blofeld Artist Management based in London.
