And I sing. I bear the chants, word and poetry, wisdom and clay.

Thanasis Gavos   Friday, 29 September 2017; 7:15-9:00pm
Hellenic Centre, Kakalidis, poetry

Passing through the narration of the entire miracle of Creation, the poet Dimitris Kakalidis leads us – with the second part of his poetic trilogy “Fallen Paradise Holly Matter” – to the next stop of the journey, where the human being is called to see all forms through different eyes; where people, animals, plants, all kinds of objects without exception, Matter in total, becomes an object of admiration, and through its eternal dance with the Spirit, it is uplifted to its true substance.

Τhe spiritual world of Greece has stated for this poetic collection “…this poetic synthesis of yours is indeed a ‘song of songs’, it is tranquility within disquiet, it is exultation within the despair of the soul. You know how to transform the verses into a study of hope and to gaze at eternity in the eyes and with clarity”.

The presentation will be held in Greek and English.  Entry is free. Bookings at 07960797435, 00306936104960 or at [email protected]
